The design for Science Logic in Reston, VA incorporated solutions to meet the client’s need for collaboration while sticking to a set budget—focusing predominantly on local presentation and collaboration from a PC desktop either local to dedicated rooms or furnished by the user in the meeting.
Overall, MCW worked within eight rooms: reception, pantry, a medium and large conference room as well as two multi-purpose/training rooms. Commercial monitors of varying sizes will be installed throughout with CATV connectivity and tuners.
In all rooms, the primary method for presenting content is via a wireless collaboration device that is the default input to the monitor. If the user cannot connect over wireless, they can connect via an HDMI cable at the table and the monitor will automatically switch to that input when it senses a connected source.
